Outdoor 25m Pool Project
Works are underway, read for updates
As previously communicated late last year, we were required to complete some urgent pool repairs to address some significant leaks in the Outdoor 25m Pool. We were unable to complete the full pool lining replacement and tiling works that were required due to a supply issue. Instead, we managed to undertake minor leak repairs that enabled us to open the pool for the summer period, with plans to recommence the project following the summer season.

May 2026 Update
The next stage of works to address the pool leaks has commenced late this month with significant rust issues being treated, removed or replaced. This repair work will continue before they are able to commence the installation of the new pool liner and associated tiling.
June 2026 Update
Contractors have continued progressing with the installation of the new liner first focusing on the gutters around the pool. This is another important milestone in the works and it's great to see steady progress being made on site.
They have reported no major issues with the project continuing to track as planned.

July 2026 Update
Installation of the new liner has been completed along the lining of the pool shell walls. Great progress has been made on the tiling around the edge of the pool, with the finger tiles to follow. The contractors have reported no major issues with the project continuing to track as planned.

August 2026 Update
Good progress has been made particularly with the flooring and grouting. The pool lining has been mostly laid, with the remainder of the lining and the grout expected to be completed by the end of the week. Following this, different contractors will be in to complete the bonding and caulking around the outside. The contractors have reported no major issues with the project continuing to track as planned. We are hoping to be able to reopen in October.

September 2026 Update
The liner replacement works, line marking, wet deck installation, tiling, caulking and grouting has been completed. Now, we are required to re heat the pool, get it circulating and treated ready for swimmers to get back in. We are hopeful to open a week earlier than anticipated and are aiming for Monday 28 September.

OUTDOOR NOW REOPEN!
Great news! We have managed to get the outdoor pool ready to reopen from tomorrow morning 
Please be aware of some minor works being finalised around the pool, and follow directions of signage and staff.
Opening hours for the remainder of school holidays between Monday 28 September and 4 October will be as follows:
6am to 7pm Monday to Friday and
8am to 4.30pm on the weekend
From 5 October when the Leisure Pool reopens, operating times will be:
6am to 10am, then 4pm until 7pm. Summer operating hours will then commence later in the year.
