As a parent, your child’s safety is your number one priority, especially around water. Swimming is not a seasonal hobby in Australia; it is an essential, life-saving skill.

Right now, we are making it easier than ever to give your child this vital skill. Enrol today for swimming lessons at  Sunshine Leisure Centre and you will receive a FREE pair of goggles and ONE WEEK FREE* of lessons!

The Critical Need for Swimming Skills in Victoria

Every year, tragic drowning incidents in our state remind us of the danger water poses.

• Fatal Drowning Risk: Drowning is a leading cause of death for toddlers, with an average of approximately 3 children aged birth to 4 years drowning every year in Victoria.

• A Safety Gap: Alarmingly, pre-pandemic estimates showed that more than 40% of children leave primary school without achieving the minimum National Swimming and Water Safety Benchmarks. Swimming lessons with qualified instructors are the single most effective way to close this skill gap and significantly reduce your child's risk around water.

More Than Just Safety: Benefits for Life

Enrolling your child is an investment in their future, providing advantages that go far beyond water safety. From advancements in physical, cognitive and learning skills, better overall health, and increased confidence - it's a no brainer.
